My favorite Velvet Underground record. Every song is beautiful, especially I Love You and I Found a Reason. Very dark yet melodic folk-rock. Happy listening.
The Wipers were a garage punk from Portland, OR, formed in 1977. The band mostly focused around the unique lyrics, guitar playing and vocals of founder Greg Sage. Their sound was usually pretty raw but with lots of experimental overtones. This is their second album. I'd also recommend checking out Is This Real? by them, which is actually better than Youth of America. This record always sounded scary to me. Enjoy.
Rick Astley is possibly the greatest 80s pop artist of all time. Amazing voice, catchy music and lyrics that are so cheesy you'll just HAVE to love them. Essential listening.
Hardcore punk from Richmond, VA, with tough overtones. Songs are mainly about fighting, if I'm not mistaken. They've got a new school sound, but they're still very raw like many of the old school bands. Check it out.
An extremely beautiful soundtrack. Dianne Reeve's magnificent vocals coupled with the great jazz is just mind blowing. Perfect music to listen to at 3:30 in the morning.
This is the soundtrack to the classic zombie film, Day of the Dead, the third film in Romero's Dead series. A very interesting soundtrack, and one of my personal favorites. A very scary soundtrack, which includes samples of the undead and dark ambient synthesizers. Chilling.
